Lochgelly Community Council have recently highlighted that small grants are available from the Community Council to help support local groups in the Lochgelly area.
Treasure George Kinnell stated ‘We have limited funds, but by keeping our running costs to a minimal, more money is available for groups in the Lochgelly area’
‘Every year we make small donations to several groups, but we are always aware that there are many other groups that can benefit from these small grants’
Community based groups operating in Lochgelly, whether constituted or informal are free to apply for funds at anytime throughout the year.
‘The funds aren’t much, but they can make a difference and have helped support other groups, especially if these groups are seeking funds from various sources. It all helps’
‘To apply for any funds, all we need is a letter telling us a little about your group, how much money you are needing, and what it will be used for. A decision is then usually taken at the next community council meeting.’
For any groups in the Lochgelly area in need of small funds to boost their project, you can contact George Kinnell, 6 Ballingry Street, Lochgelly, KY5 9NW.
The next meeting of the Lochgelly Community Council is to be held at the 385 Club on 13th May 2015. as always, all are welcome to attend.
