Plans confirmed for a Sensory Garden in the Park

The Public Park Improvement group finalised plans for the development of the upper level tennis courts at the last meeting of the group. This will include a sensory garden with raised flower beds, shrubs, trees, new paths and benches to allow uninhibited views across Benarty and Bishop as well as views along the coast to Largo Law.

The work will start later this year and should be in place for spring next year.

The Group are also looking for ideas for the red ash surface in the north side of the park which will be grassed over.

The work to grass over the area will not interfere with this years gala and shouldn’t impact on future events on the surface.

The visual improvements in the park, combined with the excellent work being done by Growing in Lochgelly volunteers through the town centre is really starting to help improve the area.
