Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year

Lochgelly Community Council has been running a Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year award for the past few years, this is awarded to local residents in recognition for outstanding achievements within the local community whether through voluntary work, personal achievements, or some other form of achievement, that helps fellow residents, or the Lochgelly community in general.

The criteria for qualifying an award is very open ended, and awards have been given in the past for a variety of positive reasons. If you know anyone that will be suitable for a Citizen or Young Citizen of the Year Award, please nominate them by writing a letter to the Secretary (there are template letters available here) (or use the Contact Form) providing details on who you are nominating and your reasons for nominating the person. Nominations can be submitted at any time.

All nominations will be discussed at a Community Council meeting and a nominee will be selected and contacted to attend a special ceremony to receive their award and recognition for their achievements.
