Small Grants

Every year the Lochgelly Community Council receives a small grant from Fife Council that is used to support the community council in pursuit of it’s stated aims and objectives. There is some committed costs to running a Community Council, however through frugal accounting, and Community Councillors committing their own funds (such as not claiming allowable expenses, volunteering their skills, etc.), has allowed the Lochgelly Community Council to provide small grants to other local groups and initiatives within the local area.

Grants cannot be guaranteed and any requests may result in a partial funding award, or none at all. The amount awarded is usually between £25 to £150 and only when we have spare funds available and through agreement by Community Councillors. If you are running a local group or local project and are seeking some financial assistance, please contact us, telling us a little bit about your project and the amount of money you are seeking.
