Public Park Improvement Group

In 2014, Fife Council committed to match the funding which would have been made available to improve the park from the s75 monies from the Lomond Homes development (New Farm Vales). As a consequence the Community Council were given responsibility to oversee the allocation of the funds to improve the Park facilities and visual impact

The Public Park Improvement group was formed whose primary responsibility were to

  1. To develop the Public Park
  2. To explore new uses and activities within the Park for the whole community
  3. To identify development which will encourage the general use of the Park.

Lochgelly Community Council Draft design for the new Sensory Garden – The draft design shows raised flower beds, made from recycled railway sleepers, footpath suitable for all abilities, an indication of seating arrangements and trees and shrubs surrounding the top level.
